Burlap/jute topper with formal length, neutral, damask tablecloth

With fall season starting, I want to start bringing in natural textures in the dining room. The burlap topper is seasonal and Farmhouse Chic is cozy as the temperature starts to cool. The burlap also serves to “dress down” formal damask fabric. Because burlap has trouble laying flat and does not clean easily, I decided to use it in a small amount.

To flatten the burlap, I wet a sponge and gently soaked the fibers. Next, I sprayed Wrinkle Release on the topper, and stretched it out. As you can see, I was only partially successful.

But, realistically, I don’t want to steam or iron the burlap just yet. It is time to be done for the day.
